NAIOP South Florida ‘Individual Member of the Year’ awarded to Jones Lang LaSalle’s Alice F. Lucia


Miami, March 11, 2009 - Jones Lang LaSalle’s Alice F. Lucia has been awarded ‘Individual Member of the Year’ for South Florida by NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association.   The award recognizes members based on service and active contribution to the local chapter.
Ms. Lucia, a Senior Vice President and Leasing Director at Jones Lang LaSalle is also an immediate past president of NAIOP and currently serves as Secretary on its Board of Directors.  NAIOP’s South Florida Chapter, which covers Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Martin and St. Lucie Counties, is one of the largest in the country with almost 500 members.  In addition, Ms. Lucia was recognized among the “Women of Influence” in 2008 by Real Estate Florida.
 
“In naming Ms. Lucia for the award, the Board of Directors noted her tenure as President of the Chapter and her tireless efforts on every single aspect of the Chapter - in most cases behind the scenes and without fanfare,” said Eric Rapkin, President-Elect of NAIOP, South Florida Chapter.  “She was voted as the Individual Member of the Year for her combination of immense hard work and truly visionary leadership.”
 
Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Ms. Lucia held positions as Principle/Senior Vice President at America's Capital Partners, Associate Director at Cushman & Wakefield and Senior Vice President at Colliers Lehrer.  She has specialized in Landlord representation for prestigious clients such as W R Grace & Co.; Goodman, Segar, Hogan; UNUM Insurance; Northwestern Mutual; Teacher’s Assurance; Talcott/Hartford; ING Clarion; Mainstreet Partners and Invesco.  Ms. Lucia’s average annual representation is one million square feet.
