Jones Lang LaSalle merges Cincinnati Operations with Cincinnati Capital Properties

CINCINNATI, Oct. 1, 2010 — Jones Lang LaSalle has merged its Cincinnati operations with  Cincinnati Capital Properties and has appointed Russell C. Myers, David T. Ottenjohn and William M. Poffenberger as Executive Vice Presidents in the firm’s Cincinnati office. They will head up the Cincinnati office and focus on office and industrial brokerage, representing both landlords and tenants across the Tri-State region.

“We are expanding our presence in the Greater Cincinnati area by merging with Cincinnati Capital Properties and three of the most respected brokers,” said Robert J. Roe, Managing Director of Jones Lang LaSalle’s brokerage operations in Ohio and Kentucky.  “With Rusty, David and Bill on board, we have three of the very best and are confident that they can support our local and regional clients in Cincinnati and throughout Ohio.”

Myers, a 25-year industry veteran joins Jones Lang LaSalle from Cincinnati Capital Properties Inc., where he was President and co-founded the company with Ottenjohn in 1993.  During Myers’ tenure he completed more than 250 transactions exceeding $300 million in value.  He has been recognized by the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) as Broker of the year (2008) and won deal of the year in 2008.  He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Cincinnati, a masters of management degree from Northwestern University, and is President of the University of Cincinnati Alumni Association.

With 26 years in commercial real estate, David Ottenjohn founded Cincinnati Capital Properties with Rusty Myers and participated in more than 300 commercial real estate lease and sale transactions for the firm.  Ottenjohn holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Vanderbilt University, and an MBA from Xavier University.  He was awarded NAIOP’s deal of the year in 2008, and is currently Mayor for The Village of Indian Hill.

William Poffenberger joins from Cincinnati Capital Properties where he was Vice President of leasing.  He has been consistently named one of Cincinnati’s top office and industrial brokers by CoStar.  Poffenberger holds a bachelor of science degree from Indiana University.
