MoneyGram International, Inc. Moves Global Corporate Headquarters to 2828 N. Harwood in the District of Harwood in Dallas

DALLAS – Sept. 23, 2010 – Global real estate developer Harwood International and global real estate services firm Jones Lang LaSalle announced today that a new lease agreement was signed for MoneyGram International, Inc. to relocate its corporate headquarters from St. Louis Park, Minn., to 2828 N. Harwood, located within the district of Harwood in Dallas.
“MoneyGram is excited about moving our corporate headquarters to Dallas,” said Steve Piano, executive vice president of human resources and corporate services for MoneyGram. “2828 N. Harwood located within the district of Harwood is a great space that will suit our needs as we grow and evolve our business. The expertise and support provided by Harwood International and Jones Lang LaSalle during the search for our new home in Dallas has been invaluable.”
Harwood International signed 45,842 square feet of space with MoneyGram International. Jihane A. Boury, vice president of leasing and development for Harwood International, and David O. Roehm, executive vice president for Harwood International, negotiated the lease. Jeff Staubach, senior vice president, and Brooke Armstrong, vice president with Jones Lang LaSalle, represented MoneyGram International.

“We explored a variety of options around the country for MoneyGram, an attractive tenant because it is a dynamic and growing company,” said Staubach. “A central geography, growing population and a large talent pool were all factors that made Dallas an ideal choice, and 2828 N. Harwood is very well suited for MoneyGram’s new corporate headquarters.”
A representative of the city of Dallas commented that they are excited that MoneyGram has chosen the city of Dallas and 2828 N. Harwood for its new global headquarters. They also stated that Dallas will provide MoneyGram excellent access to its global markets and an opportunity to grow its business.

MoneyGram International will occupy two floors of 2828 N. Harwood. The Class A building is the fourth out of 17 phases planned for the district of Harwood in Dallas developed by Harwood International. They will be joining the exclusive list of Harwood tenants, which includes The Boston Consulting Group, Frost Bank, Harwood International, Jones Day, Rolex, McGuire, Craddock & Strother, and Amegy Bank.
