Industrial Real Estate Expert Terry Stieve Joins Jones Lang LaSalle Team in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MO., Sept. 23, 2010 — Terry Stieve, SIOR, one of the top-producing industrial real estate brokers in the St. Louis market, has joined the local office of Jones Lang LaSalle, the company announced today.

Stieve’s hiring is the latest in a series of moves by Jones Lang LaSalle aimed at fortifying the firm’s position in St. Louis and across its industrial platform in the Midwest.

In his new role as Executive Vice President, Stieve will focus on strengthening and developing key client relationships among industrial investors and occupiers in St. Louis and the surrounding area. With more than 220 million square feet of industrial space, the region is one of the top locations for manufacturing and distribution/logistics in the Midwest.

“We are confident that Terry Stieve will play a major role in the ongoing growth of our industrial practice group here in the Midwest,” said Dan Ryan, Jones Lang LaSalle’s Midwest Market Director. “His wide range of experience in industrial leasing, acquisitions, sales and development will be a tremendous asset to our clients.”

A 22-year veteran of the St. Louis commercial real estate industry, Stieve, 56, joins Jones Lang LaSalle from Cassidy Turley, where he has served as a senior vice president and principal since 2001. He also spent four years as a leading broker for Trammell Crow and, before that, worked for nine years at Cushman & Wakefield.

He was recognized as the “Top-Producing Broker of the Year” in his office seven different times and, in 2009, was honored by the St. Louis Business Journal as one of the city’s “Heavy Hitters” in commercial real estate.

Prior to launching his career in real estate, Stieve was a standout offensive lineman at the University of Wisconsin (where he also earned a bachelor’s degree) and later started in 113 games with the St. Louis Cardinals and New Orleans Saints during the course of a nine-year career in the National Football League.

“Recruiting an accomplished and well-respected industry pro like Terry Stieve speaks extremely well to Jones Lang LaSalle’s growing reputation here in the St. Louis market,” said Henry Voges, a Jones Lang LaSalle Senior Vice President and head of the firm’s St. Louis office. “We are proud to have him join our team.”
