Jones Lang LaSalle Promotes Ruby Hwang to Senior Vice President

NEW YORK, August 17, 2010 — Jones Lang LaSalle announced that Ruby Hwang has been promoted to senior vice president from vice president.

Hwang, 31, provides strategic real estate advisory services and execution support, focusing primarily on leasing and development transactions in the New York metropolitan region. She creates complex financial valuation models, analyzes commercial development schemes, and structures economic incentive plans for the firm’s clients.

Hwang has nearly a decade of experience in working with many of Jones Lang LaSalle’s large corporate clients. She has led comprehensive, multi-phase analyses of real estate portfolios by developing cash flow projections, reviewing valuation assumptions, managing data collection and organizing historical/future capital flows for incorporation into client presentations to board of directors and senior management.

In 2009, Hwang supported the Jones Lang LaSalle team that provided transaction and development services for Vantone Industrial Co., a prominent Beijing-based real estate development company, for its China Center project in Manhattan. She oversaw an extensive three-phase feasibility study of the China Center in New York and presented findings to Vantone Board of Directors and Ministry of Commerce in Beijing, China for project approval.

Since early 2004, she has been actively engaged in advisory work for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey on the redevelopment of the World Trade Center site. Hwang has provided development feasibility, market assessment, pro forma analysis, proposal review, and deal structuring support.

In 2003, Hwang served as a member of the project team that advised Bank of America on the development of its new headquarters at the 2 million-square-foot One Bryant Park. Hwang was involved in lease and joint venture discussions, market research, financial analyses, and incentives negotiations with the city and state of New York.

Hwang graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in geography, and a minor in anthropology, from Dartmouth College. She also attended the Tuck School of Business Bridge Program, and studied economic and political geography at Charles University in Prague. Hwang is past president of the Dartmouth Asian Pacific American Alumni Association, and serves as chair of the association’s  Community Outreach program. She is a licensed real estate salesperson in the state of New York, and a member of the Real Estate Board of New York and the Urban Land Institute.
