Jones Lang LaSalle Expands Multifamily Expertise in Bay Area

Jordan Moss joins as Vice President

San Francisco, July 15, 2010– Jones Lang LaSalle continues to bolster its multifamily platform in strategic markets across the country with the addition of Jordan Moss in San Francisco.  Moss joins as Vice President joining the firm’s Bay Area multifamily group.  Working in conjunction with Seattle-based Managing Director David Young, who leads Jones Lang LaSalle’s West Coast multifamily practice, Moss will focus on expanding the firm’s multifamily presence throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.  Jones Lang LaSalle’s national multifamily platform now stands at 46 individuals, after more than doubling in size over the past two years.

“Across the country, we have been aggressively growing our multifamily platform in recent months,” said Jubeen Vaghefi, Managing Director at Jones Lang LaSalle and leader of the firm’s multifamily practice.  “The addition of Jordan in the San Francisco Bay Area will allow us to expand our group’s presence and gain significant market share in one of the nation’s preeminent multifamily investment markets.”

“Jordan’s wide-ranging experiences as a multifamily principal and third-party advisor strategically position our San Francisco capital markets team in relation to the competition.  Jordan’s skill set and unique understanding of the multifamily business will be a major boon to clients who have rightly come to expect such depth of services from this firm,” said Young.

Added Elizabeth Hearle, Jones Lang LaSalle’s Northwest Market Director, “There is a great deal of pent-up demand forming in the multifamily sector, which, combined with strong demographics and solid fundamentals in Northern California provide a ripe opportunity for Jordan and the firm to make an immediate impact here.”

Moss brings to Jones Lang LaSalle more than eight years of experience in the multifamily industry, having sourced, negotiated and structured the successful acquisition of $400+ million of commercial real estate.  Additionally, Moss has served in an advisory capacity to multifamily owners throughout the Western United States, consulting with clients on multifamily underwriting, market analysis, asset repositioning, portfolio recapitalization, equity raising and debt restructuring.  Moss earned his degree in Economics from University of California at Davis and later played professional basketball in Dijon, France.

Jones Lang LaSalle’s San Francisco Bay Area Capital Markets team plans to add additional team members in the near future.  In addition to Mr. Moss and current multifamily specialist Patrick Shiver, the group over time will look to grow it’s multifamily platform through the addition of a mid-market sales professional and additional capital markets experts.
