Prominent San Diego Office Brokers Russell and Gonor Move to Jones Lang LaSalle

Duo with 30 years of combined experience representing over three and one-half million square feet of office product throughout Central San Diego to benefit firm’s expanding client base


SAN DIEGO, JULY 7, 2010 — Jones Lang LaSalle announced today that two senior commercial real estate brokers have joined its expanding San Diego office. Tony C. Russell, SIOR and Richard J. Gonor, SIOR are the latest addition in Jones Lang LaSalle’s commitment to expanding its commercial real estate brokerage service platform in San Diego.

The duo, formerly with Cassidy Turley/BRE Commercial, have considerable office property experience completing over 3,000 lease transactions, totaling nine million square feet, valued at approximately $1.5 billion.

Russell, who will serve as Executive Vice President, specializes in owner representation, portfolio review and market analysis of Class A and B office properties throughout Central San Diego County. His clients include significant regional ownerships to large public REITs who require expert counsel in all phases of negotiation and real estate brokerage, including pre-leasing new construction/ground-up development, repositioning assets, investment and owner-user sales. He was an Office Leasing and Sales Specialist at Cassidy Turley, where he won numerous awards for his high volume of transactions, as well as being a consistent top producer, and Rookie of the Year in 2002. He also received the 2008 National Top Broker Award from Real Estate Forum, the 2006 NAIOP Emerging Leaders Award and CoStar Power Brokers Award from 2004 to 2009.  Russell currently serves as President of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) San Diego Chapter.

Gonor, who joins Jones Lang LaSalle as Executive Vice President, specializes in owner representation, portfolio review and market analysis within Central San Diego County. He represents institutional and large regional office property owners in all phases of negotiation and real estate brokerage, including pre-leasing new construction/ground-up development, repositioning assets, investment and owner-user sales. An 18 year veteran of the industry, he was an Office Leasing and Sales Specialist at Cassidy Turley, where he has been a top producer year after year and has earned numerous honors including the 2005 “Circle of Excellence” National Top Producers Award, CoStar Power Brokers Top 20 Office Brokers Award from 2004 to 2009, named by Real Estate Southern California Magazine as a 2008 “40 Under 40” recipient, named by Real Estate Forum Magazine to the 2008 “National Broker Hot List, ” and multiple awards for his high volume of transactions.
