U.S. General Services Administration Awards National Brokerage Contract to Jones Lang LaSalle for Lease Acquisition Services Nationwide

Factors in selection include Jones Lang LaSalle’s broad public-sector experience, operational approach to Federal lease procurement, and past performance

WASHINGTON, DC, July 7, 2010 — Jones Lang LaSalle was again awarded a U.S. General Services Administration’s (GSA) National Broker Contract, continuing a longstanding relationship as a national services provider that began in 2005.  The contract enables Jones Lang LaSalle to continue executing GSA tenant representation services for Federal agencies that work through the GSA for their real estate needs.

“In responding to the GSA’s request for proposal, our firm was able to show a tremendous performance record on brokerage transactions for both Federal Government Contracts and National Corporate Accounts,” said Chris Roth, Managing Director at Jones Lang LaSalle and the National Manager for the contracts.  “We have assembled a highly effective core team of Federal transaction professionals, and our brokerage presence across the markets where agencies are located has significantly increased over the past two years.”

The purpose of the National Broker Contract is to provide consistent, high-quality service nationwide to federal agencies that rely on GSA for lease acquisition services under the GSA Leasing Program.  National Broker Contracts use no appropriated funds as contractors are compensated via the private-sector practice of commission payments.

GSA’s lease portfolio contains over 8,000 properties – approximately 184 million square feet – dispersed across the U.S.  Since 2005, Jones Lang LaSalle has assisted the GSA in the award of more than 830 leases and is currently managing over 650 lease procurements through occupancy for Federal civilian departments and agencies across the executive, legislative and judicial branches.
