Jones Lang LaSalle Bolsters Multifamily Bench in Washington, D.C.

Todd Weinstein, Jorge Rosa and Jean Samayoa bring multifamily expertise to growing team

WASHINGTON, D.C., June 29, 2010– Jones Lang LaSalle announced today that it has bolstered its multifamily bench in the Washington, D.C. area with the addition of three new experts.  Todd Weinstein has joined the firm as a Senior Vice President, while Jorge Rosa and Jean Samayoa have both joined as Vice Presidents.  The new hires will work under the direction of the firm’s newest multifamily team headed by Scott Melnick and Al Cissel, who joined the firm’s Mid-Atlantic office in April.  The firm’s multifamily practice now stands at 45 individuals, more than doubling in the past two years.

“Our goal in 2010 was to become a leader in the multifamily sector,” said Jubeen Vaghefi, Managing Director at Jones Lang LaSalle and co-leader of the firm’s multifamily practice.  “The addition of these three extremely strong individuals to the Mid-Atlantic region will bring unparalleled depth of experience and bench strength to our growing practice.  Multifamily is considered the strongest sector in commercial real estate right now and this trio will allow us to capitalize on that market correction.”

Mr. Weinstein brings more than 10 years of experience in multifamily real estate, most recently with Transwestern, where he was an integral part of the Cissel-Melnick multifamily team for the last four years.  He focuses on business development and the strategic positioning of multifamily assets for the Southern Virginia/Research Triangle region.  Mr. Weinstein is a licensed Real Estate Sales Agent in Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida.

Mr. Rosa also brings more than eight years of experience to the multifamily practice.  He is responsible for the financial analysis, underwriting and due diligence of all multifamily investment opportunities.  Mr. Rosa earned his bachelors of arts from Lafayette College and a Master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University, where he is also a member of the Real Estate Forum.

With more than eight years of experience, Ms. Samayoa will be responsible for financial analysis, market research, underwriting and due diligence.  She holds her bachelors of business administration in Real Estate and Finance from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.  Ms. Samayoa is also a member of the Urban Land Institute and the University of Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association.
