Benjamin Appelbaum joins JLL as a Vice President
MIAMI, June 13, 2018 – JLL today announced Benjamin Appelbaum has joined the firm as a Vice President of Strategic Advisory & Asset Management for the Caribbean and Latin America. He will be based in the firm's Miami office, partnering with Managing Director Clay Dickinson to support the firm's Caribbean and Latin America investor clients seeking to maximize their profit, minimize their risk and enhance the management of their hotel assets in the region.
"The addition of Ben underscores our commitment to creating the best team to serve the requirements of an increasingly global client base, especially in the rapidly growing Spanish-speaking Caribbean, Mexican and South American markets," said Dickinson. "Ben's unique skill set in food and beverage complements perfectly his broader knowledge of the hotel industry, further strengthening a specialized expertise that is increasingly important to successful hotel operations in the region."
Appelbaum comes from Halyard Hospitality Group, a specialized consultancy that provides strategic advisory work on food and beverage operations. Prior to this, he was the General Manager of one of Miami's top restaurants, Beaker & Gray, as well as the Executive Chef and youngest GM in company history for J. Alexander's Corp. Appelbaum graduated from Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration and is fluent in Spanish. He has a Level 1 certification with the Court of Master Sommeliers and is an Eagle Scout, Boy Scouts of America.
