Jones Lang LaSalle Adds Five New Executives in Expansion Move That Deepens Silicon Valley Bench

PALO ALTO, CALIF., April 26, 2010 – Jones Lang LaSalle announced a significant expansion of real estate services within its Silicon Valley operations designed to deepen the firm’s client service capabilities.  The global real estate services firm announced the addition of five new executives in the office this week, including three new hires and two transferred executives.  The new hires are: 

Emily Bielen has joined the Silicon Valley office as Senior Marketing Manager.  She joins from Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. where, as an Inside Sales leader, she was responsible for business development throughout California.  Prior to joining Jacobs, Ms. Bielen was a Marketing Manager with Jones Lang LaSalle in the Washington, DC office. She holds a B.B.A. in Marketing from James Madison University.

Andrew Boyd joined the firm as a Senior Financial Accountant. He joins from Maxim Integrated Products, where he served as a Cost Accountant. He has also worked for PriceWaterhouseCoopers as an Audit Associate where he served semiconductor and real estate firms. Mr. Boyd earned a B.A. in Economics and Business Management, with an emphasis on accounting, from the University of California at Santa Cruz and he is currently completing the application process for his CPA license.

Mark Kindred has joined the Silicon Valley office as Senior Research Analyst. He brings 10 years of research and analysis experience to the firm, with the last three spent at RREEF Real Estate where he focused on office and industrial real estate markets. Prior to RREEF, Mr. Kindred gained valuable research and marketing experience at GVA Whitney Cressman and Terranomics Retail Services. He holds an M.A. and a B.A. in economics from San Francisco State University.
In addition to these three new hires, the firm also welcomed two new executives to the Silicon Valley office:

Abigail San Juan, Senior Vice President and Group Manager, has recently transferred to the Silicon Valley office to expand the Property Management capability in the market. Prior to transferring to Palo Alto, Ms. San Juan served as General Manager for 201 Mission St. and 580 California St. in San Francisco where she held complete operational, as well as financial responsibility for both assets.  Ms. San Juan has 12 years of property management experience, 10 years with Jones Lang LaSalle. She has served as a member of the Jones Lang LaSalle Excellence Committee, a panel of senior managers whose focus is to evaluate current and new best practices for effective implementation at field level. 

Julie Steffen, an Assistant Manager in Jones Lang LaSalle’s China Transaction Management division, has transferred to the Silicon Valley office’s International Desk where she will coordinate the firm’s relationships with corporations between Silicon Valley and the Jones Lang LaSalle’s more than 200 global offices.

Finally, the following Silicon Valley executives received promotions:

Andy Koenig has been promoted to Vice President in the Silicon Valley Corporate Markets team. Mr. Koenig has 10 years of real estate experience specializing in tenant representation for large national and international clients, advising on occupancy requirements including lease acquisitions, dispositions, site selection consulting, lease terminations and portfolio planning.

Chris Crow has been promoted to Leasing Associate on the Silicon Valley brokerage team.  He was formerly a Senior Market Analyst for Jones Lang LaSalle in Silicon Valley.

Jones Lang LaSalle opened its Silicon Valley office in 2006, expanding it in the second half of 2008 via the firm’s merger with The Staubach Co.  The firm is located at 2300 Geng Road, Palo Alto.
