BOSTON, MA, September 14, 2017 – JLL's Boston Project and Development Services (PDS) group recently completed a $60 million redevelopment and expansion for United Technologies Research Center (UTRC) in East Hartford, CT.
The new "innovation hub" at UTRC's East Hartford campus includes 185,000 square feet of new and renovated space, including a new 50,000 square foot laboratory addition, 75,000 square feet of office and conference room additions and 4,800 square feet of executive suite renovations. The build-out was enabled through a collaboration with the State of Connecticut through the historic 2014 Connecticut Aerospace Reinvestment Act (CARA).
JLL's David Brunelle, Michael Connelly and Dee Brooks led the development efforts on the project for the past three years. Their roles included managing the permitting, design and construction process. The project is currently seeking LEED Gold Certification with the U.S. Green Building Council.
