JLL names new Agency Leasing Brokerage Lead in Houston

Russell Hodges appointed head of JLL Houston’s Office Agency Leasing team

HOUSTON, Jan. 30, 2018 – JLL today announced the appointment of Senior Vice President Russell Hodges to lead the firm's Office Agency Leasing brokerage team in Houston. In his new role, Russell will assume responsibility for future growth, recruitment and strategic business development initiatives for the business line.

"I am excited to step into this role, and look forward to building on the success of my colleagues, Chrissy Wilson and John Pruitt, who have demonstrated tremendous leadership in growing JLL's Agency Leasing platform to this point," said Hodges. "Our first priority remains providing best-in-class service to our clients, as we continue to strive for maximum value creation with respect to each asset we lease."

Hodges joined JLL in 2014 and specializes in the marketing and leasing of office properties, financial lease analyses, and strategic lease negotiations for both private and institutional owners. Over the course of his career, he has been responsible for executing office leases in excess of 12 million square feet, and has represented some of the city's most iconic buildings, including Williams Tower and JP Morgan Chase Tower.

"Russell has been an integral part of our Agency Leasing team from the beginning," said Wilson, who in 2013 established JLL's office agency leasing service line in Houston. "His expertise and energy are sure to catapult our team into the next chapter of excellence and success."

Prior to joining JLL, Hodges was Director of Leasing at Hines Interests, where he was responsible for a 3 million-square-foot portfolio of Class A office space located in Houston's CBD and Galleria submarkets. Today, he leases a portfolio of approximately 3 million square feet of office space, including notable projects such as CityPlace Springwoods Village, West Memorial Place, 1885 St. James, Lockton Place and Six Houston Center.

"I look forward to watching the Houston Agency Leasing team continue to grow under Russell's leadership," said JLL Houston President Dan Bellow. "I also want to express my sincere gratitude to venerable leasing veterans Chrissy Wilson and John Pruitt, who through their dedication and expertise have grown our Agency Leasing team to the highly regarded group that it is today. We are proud to have such a deep bench of talent here at JLL."

JLL's Office Agency Leasing portfolio in Houston currently stands at 8.3 million square feet.
