Jones Lang LaSalle Hires Jeff Weidenborner in New York

Weidenborner to drive integrated client-service delivery in tri-state region

NEW YORK, April 21, 2010 — Jones Lang LaSalle has hired Jeff Weidenborner as a managing director. He will be based out of its New York office and will be responsible for broadening the firm’s client base throughout the New York tri-state region by marketing Jones Lang LaSalle's wide platform of real estate occupancy services integrated with its brokerage capabilities. He reports to Ray Quartararo, international director and head of the company's New York tri-state area business development team.

Weidenborner, 40, has more than 12 years of experience in commercial real estate in the United States and China, and specializes in corporate services involving leasing and sales transactions, occupancy cost reduction strategies, industry benchmarking and portfolio optimization.

“Jeff Weidenborner has a proven background as an entrepreneur breaking new ground in real estate,” said Quartararo. “He will serve a key role in devising new strategies to further Jones Lang LaSalle’s growth across offices and business lines throughout the New York tri-state region.”

Previously, Weidenborner served as a managing director with Jones Lang LaSalle in China, where he established and managed the company’s Qingdao office. He was also a member of Jones Lang LaSalle's China Executive Committee.

Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Weidenborner was the founder of Sienna Commercial Qingdao Realty Advisors, the first foreign-owned commercial real estate consulting business in Qingdao. Jones Lang LaSalle acquired the company in 2007.

Earlier, Weidenborner served with Cushman & Wakefield in Beijing as an associate director, where he was in charge of tenant representation and managing key national account relationships. He provided Fortune 500 clients with strategic portfolio advisory services and transactional work on lease acquisitions, renewals, dispositions, consolidations and restructurings. Weidenborner also served as a director in a number of roles with United Systems Integrators Corp., now known as Johnson Controls Inc. Global Workplace Solutions, in Los Angeles.
Weidenborner received a bachelor’s degree in international relations, with an emphasis in Sino-U.S. relations, from Roanoke College.
