National practice lead for JLL Energy and Sustainability Services one of 16 professional women honored with 2017 Women of Excellence Award
NEW YORK, October 31, 2017 — JLL announced Dana Robbins Schneider, managing director and national practice lead for JLL Energy and Sustainability Services, was recognized by the National Association of Female Executives as one of 16 recipients of its annual 2017 Women of Excellence Awards. The award honors Robbins Schneider as NAFE Sustainability Champion for her outstanding business accomplishments and leadership.
The annual NAFE Women of Excellence Award honors the achievements and accomplishments of outstanding women committed to serving and enriching their workplaces, their communities and the world. The 16 winners were chosen for their vision, courage, compassion, proven success and generosity as demonstrated by how they help other women and girls succeed. Robbins Schneider was named NAFE Sustainability Champion for working to stem the depletion of the world's natural resources and maintain an ecological balance through her career and influence.

Robbins Schneider leads JLL's Energy and Sustainability Services practice in the Americas. Her focus is on energy optimization, as well as the development and implementation of energy and sustainability programs for a wide variety of portfolios, buildings and client sectors. Additionally, Robbins Schneider specializes in energy and sustainability performance and LEED and wellness certifications for new and existing buildings and portfolios, as well as commercial interiors. She joined JLL in 2002.
Robbins Schneider leads a team currently implementing a whole-building energy retrofit of the Empire State Building that achieved LEED EBOM Gold certification for the most famous office building in the world in 2011. This major initiative uses a groundbreaking analytical model for maximizing energy and environmental value per dollar spent, which she was instrumental in developing. Robbins Schneider has now replicated this energy optimization process in over 100 buildings across the United States. In addition to her work at the Empire State Building, she manages energy and sustainability aspects of mission critical facilities across the country and has led energy and sustainability assignments at more than 80 million square feet of properties in the Northeast.
Robbins Schneider serves as JLL's national Data Center Energy and Sustainability Services Committee Lead and as a member of the national Sustainability Leadership Team. She serves as a technical resource expert for the Clinton Climate Initiative's Climate Positive Development Initiative and was a member and Vice Chair of the USGBC's Technical Advisory Group for Indoor Environmental Quality for six years. Robbins Schneider serves on the Board of Directors as well as the Programs and Education Committee of the New York City Chapter of the USGBC and is a member of the Real Estate Roundtable Sustainability Policy Advisory Committee and Real Estate Board of New York Sustainability Committee. She is a LEED Accredited Professional and a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Virginia.
