JLL expands marketing leadership with technology and innovation strategist

Debbie Murphy appointed as Executive Vice President of Corporate Solutions

CHICAGO, June 21, 2017 – JLL today announced the appointment of Debbie Murphy as Executive Vice President, Global and Americas Marketing for JLL’s Corporate Solutions business. Based in the company’s corporate headquarters in Chicago, she will report to John Forrest, Global and Americas CEO, Corporate Solutions, JLL. Her appointment is effective immediately.

In her role, Murphy will oversee the development of marketing strategies to drive the firm’s global Corporate Solutions business growth. The appointment reflects JLL’s continued leadership of the corporate real estate industry’s transformation through aggressively pursuing world-class technologies, tools and talent, including advanced data and analytics.

“Debbie has the expertise to lead the design, development and execution of strategies and processes required to deliver our latest innovations and technologies to our clients,” said Forrest. “She is the right addition at the right time to assist in guiding our clients through the challenges and opportunities they are facing now and in the future.”

Murphy brings more than two decades of marketing leadership experience. She joins JLL from professional services firm Huron, where she served as Chief Marketing Officer. No stranger to transformational marketing, Murphy advanced Huron’s marketing organization from a decentralized organization to a strategic team focused on driving revenue through lead generation and strategic market development efforts.

Prior to joining Huron, Murphy was an executive at Zebra Technologies Corporation, a global tracking and visibility technology solutions provider. There, she led the company’s global market strategies and operations, and directed the communications and integration of marketing for Zebra’s acquisition of Motorola Solutions’ enterprise business. Her leadership helped drive consistent growth and outstanding financial returns.

Murphy has a BS in marketing from the University of Connecticut. She is on the board of directors for the Business Marketing Association (BMA) in Chicago.

In April, JLL introduced the Future of Work, its unique outlook on the changing world of work and its impact on the next generation of corporate real estate. Murphy will be instrumental in driving this new perspective on corporate real estate which is central to JLL’s Corporate Solutions business growth and shapes its products and services.
