Jones Lang LaSalle Appoints Mark Dancer as Research Director in Phoenix

PHOENIX, March 29, 2010 – Jones Lang LaSalle has appointed Mark Dancer as Research Director for the firm’s Phoenix office. In this new role, he will be responsible for directing the local research program, including statistical analysis, market leading reports, and key economic and industry trends impacting real estate.  This research provides clients with a deep assessment of current market dynamics to guide strategic decision making and identify risks and opportunities.  This announcement follows on the heels of the firm’s recent expansion of its Phoenix office with the hiring of its first landlord representation brokerage team.

“Mark brings nearly a quarter of a century of commercial real estate experience to the table for our clients, all of it dedicated to the Phoenix market.  His ability to analyze and interpret statistics is unparalleled and will put us in a position of strength as we move this market forward,” said Dennis Desmond, Senior Managing Director in Phoenix, Jones Lang LaSalle.  “We’ve made great strides expanding our brokerage and landlord leasing platform in Phoenix in the last few months and the addition of Mark to our team will be a major boon to clients seeking strong, interpretive research.”

Dancer has deep roots in the Phoenix area, most recently as a senior associate at CB Richard Ellis, where he was a member of one of Arizona’s top producing investment brokerage teams.  Prior to that, he served as Research Director at both Trammel Crow and Insignia ESG.  Mr. Dancer also wore many hats at Rand Commercial Brokers, including business consultant, sales associate, department manager and senior researcher.

“Our clients value Jones Lang LaSalle research because it provides them market intelligence and insights that help form and validate sound real estate decisions,” said Benjamin Breslau, Jones Lang LaSalle’s National Research Director.  “We are steeped in accurate market information and analytical capabilities in the Phoenix area, and adding an expert like Mark immediately elevates our ability to delight our clients consistently and continually with market-leading research.”

Dancer is a licensed agent with the Arizona Department of Real Estate and a member of NAIOP.  He received his bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University.
