DeNamur brings 25 years of experience creating integrated building solutions to new JLL role
CHICAGO, Feb. 16, 2017 – When Mike DeNamur began plotting out his career, he was sure it would be as an architect designing high-performance buildings. The architecture path turned into a Mechanical Engineering degree, but the passion for high-performance buildings remained a constant. He will now be using his experience to define and implement integrated building solutions as a new Vice President of JLL's (NYSE: JLL) Smart Building team.
DeNamur comes to JLL with more than 25 years of experience in the commercial building industry, most recently serving as Director of Americas Sales and Marketing with United Technologies' Building Solutions group. Throughout his career, he's maintained a strong focus on achieving results from smart, sustainable and high-performance buildings. In his new JLL role, DeNamur will help companies understand how to apply Internet of Things (IoT) technology and smart building strategies to drive business results in commercial and corporate real estate.

IoT technology embedded into the building infrastructure creates opportunity to create a more personalized and responsive workplace, which can help facilitate greater employee satisfaction and productivity.
DeNamur earned a Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, has been active in many building performance initiatives and received his LEED-AP credential in 2006. He started his career modelling whole-building design alternates with a focus on energy efficiency in HVAC systems. DeNamur was also deeply involved in the adoption and mainstream application of open building system communication protocols that provide the foundations for today's intelligent and integrated buildings.
