JLL Makes Impact on Agency Leasing Market in Austin

Firm selected as strategic leasing partner for over 2.3 million square feet of office space assignments


AUSTIN, January 24, 2017 – As JLL's agency team completes its second year in Austin, the recent addition of two new commercial real estate experts to the group has propelled impressive growth in the team's overall office product portfolio. JLL today announced the firm has been awarded the exclusive leasing assignments for over 2.3 million square feet of office space at several properties across Austin.

With these new assignments, JLL has doubled the square footage of their landlord representation in the CBD and now represents over two million of the CBD's nine million total square feet of office space. This gives JLL the largest share of office space within the submarket among Austin's commercial real estate firms.

Among the recent office assignments are:

  • Cousins Properties has awarded JLL the exclusive leasing assignment for One Eleven Plaza, located at 111 Congress. The property includes 519,393 square feet of Class A office space in the CBD submarket.  JLL Senior Vice President Rachel Coulter, Senior Vice President Kevin Kimbrough, and Associate Travis Rogers will lead the leasing and marketing efforts.
  • Cousins Properties has awarded JLL the exclusive leasing assignment for San Jacinto Center, located at 98 San Jacinto. The property includes 406,279 square feet of Class A office space in the Austin CBD submarket. JLL Senior Vice President Rachel Coulter, Senior Vice President Kevin Kimbrough, and Associate Travis Rogers will lead the leasing and marketing efforts.
  • Zydeco Development has awarded JLL the exclusive leasing assignment for Met Center Office Campus, located at the southwest corner of Highway 183 and Metropolis. The property is an office campus, ground-up development with 600,000 square feet of Class A office space in the Southeast submarket. JLL Senior Vice President Rachel Coulter, Vice President Brent Powdrill, and Associate Travis Rogers will lead the leasing and marketing efforts.
  • Prescott Group has awarded JLL the exclusive leasing assignment for Westview, located at 316 West 12th Street. The property is a full building redevelopment and includes 98,500 square feet of Class A office space in the CBD submarket. JLL Senior Vice President Rachel Coulter, Senior Vice President Kevin Kimbrough, and Associate Travis Rogers will lead the leasing and marketing efforts.
  • Finley Company has awarded JLL the exclusive leasing assignment for the Bremond Building, located at 801 Congress Avenue. The property includes 17,941 square feet of Class B office space in the CBD submarket.  JLL Senior Vice President Kevin Kimbrough and Vice President Brent Powdrill will lead the leasing and marketing efforts.
  • Taurus Investment Holdings has awarded JLL the exclusive leasing assignment for Travesia Corporate Park I - IV, located at 3800 Quick Hill Road. The property includes 256,668 square feet of Class B office space in the North submarket. JLL Senior Vice President Rachel Coulter, Vice President Brent Powdrill, and Associate Andy Head will lead the leasing and marketing efforts.
  • Trigate Capital has awarded JLL the exclusive leasing assignment for Northview Business Center, located at 9001 North Interstate 35. The property includes 262,067 square feet of Class B office space in the Northeast submarket. JLL Senior Vice President Kevin Kimbrough, Vice President Brent Powdrill, and Associate Andy Head will lead the leasing and marketing efforts.
  • JMA Ventures has awarded JLL the exclusive leasing assignment for Nine One Six, located at 916 South Capital of Texas Highway. The property includes 55,216 square feet of Class B office space in the Southwest submarket. JLL Senior Vice President Kevin Kimbrough and Vice President Brent Powdrill will lead the leasing and marketing efforts.
  • Austin Capital Advisors has awarded JLL an exclusive leasing assignment for the recently renamed JLL Plaza, located at 1703 West 5th Street in Austin. The property encompasses 115,975 square feet of Class A office space in the Central submarket. JLL Senior Vice President Rachel Coulter and Vice President Brent Powdrill will lead the leasing and marketing efforts.
