JLL Expands Advisory Team with Addition of Esteemed Business Community Leader

Jim Heeter joins JLL in Kansas City as Senior Advisor

KANSAS CITY, November 14, 2016 – JLL today announced it has strengthened its advisory team in Kansas City with the addition of respected business and civic leader Jim Heeter. Heeter will join the firm as Senior Advisor upon his recent retirement as the President and CEO of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce. He brings a wealth of experience as an advisor and consultant to many of the region's business and industry leaders, and has worked closely with various governance agencies. In his role, Heeter will provide JLL with valuable insight into the business market, partnering closely with JLL Managing Director Kevin Wilkerson and Managing Director Larry Glaze.

"JLL's platform is the gold standard within the industry," said Glaze. "This opportunity allows Jim to pursue corporate relationships and real estate related issues that need to be addressed within the region. He'll have the firm's platform of services and team of industry experts at his disposal."

Under his leadership, the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce has bolstered the region's business environment and had a positive impact on the community. He was the first to hold the title of CEO for the organization.

"JLL has always had strong leadership and a concentrated growth strategy in the Kansas City market and Jim's addition will further strengthen the firm's commitment to our clients in the region," said JLL South Central Region President Jeff Staubach.

There is a long history between Heeter and senior leadership of JLL Kansas City.  JLL provided tenant representation on behalf of Dentons, his former law firm, and, more recently, the representation of the Chamber and The Kansas City Area Development Council's relocations to Union Station.

"We're excited to have Jim join the team at JLL," said Roger Staubach, Executive Chairman for JLL Americas. "We see significant growth opportunities in the Kansas City region. He's an excellent addition and will do great things for the firm."

Heeter echoes his sentiments.

"I'm deeply committed to Kansas City's growth, and with JLL's leadership and expertise, I see tremendous opportunities throughout the Kansas City region," said Heeter. "I look forward to working with this great team."
