Jones Lang LaSalle Wins 45,000-square-foot Interior Construction Assignment for Boston University on Their Medical Campus


BOSTON, March 3, 2010— Jones Lang LaSalle was awarded the contract to provide construction management services for Boston University’s approximately 45,000-square-foot Biochemistry Department’s Breast Cancer Research Center, Amyloid Research Center and Cancer Center within the Conti Biomedical Research Center on their Medical Campus in Boston. The customized build-out on four floors is valued at $7 million.

The interior renovation on floors 1, 2, 6 and 7 will accommodate researchers and medical technicians. Highlights of the space include: new building infrastructure, mechanical upgrades, laboratory systems, conference and training areas, new lab case work throughout, and office areas. The fast track construction work will begin in March 2010 with occupancy scheduled for October 2010.

Joining Mr. Wassersug on the Jones Lang LaSalle Construction team is Senior Construction Manager Dana Griffin, Senior Superintendent Jeff Burke, and Chief Estimator Karl Ginand. ADD Inc is the project architect and RDK Engineers the engineer on the project.

Jones Lang LaSalle also served as construction manager for Boston University at 670 Albany Street at BioSquare, the offices at Crosstown Center, classroom renovations in the L Building on the BUMC campus, infrastructure improvements for the University’s College of Fine Arts, and several other projects.
