Jones Lang LaSalle Announces Promotions in its Minneapolis Office

Minneapolis, March 1, 2010– Jones Lang LaSalle today announces the firm has promoted five tenant representation brokers in Minneapolis.  The promotions include:

Chris Rohrer:  Rohrer has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Minneapolis Market Lead from Senior Vice President.  He has been involved in both the leadership and vision for the Minneapolis group and represents both local and national clients.  He has over 20 years of Twin Cities business experience and in 2009 worked on more than 20 transactions valued at over $21 million for clients including Oppenheimer Wolff & Donnelly, UnitedHealth Group, Boston Scientific and The City of Minneapolis.

Tad Jellison:  Jellison has been promoted to Senior Vice President from Vice President.  His experience encompasses tenant representation and corporate real estate.  His relationship with clients such as The Toro Company, Halleland, Lewis, Nilan & Johnson and Capgemini Ernst & Young has helped him become one of the top Minneapolis dealmakers.

Also promoted were John Lorence, John Nigon and Brett Severson from Associate to Senior Associate.

“This group of exceptional tenant representation brokers has consistently exceeded client expectations in a rough economic climate, and their creativity, drive and success will enable us to further grow our brokerage business in Minneapolis,” said Steve Stratton, Regional Managing Director, Jones Lang LaSalle.  “They are well-deserving of this promotion and we are thrilled that they are a part of the Jones Lang LaSalle team.”

Jones Lang LaSalle has had a presence in Minneapolis for over a decade.  The Minneapolis office has almost 200 employees providing their clients with services including tenant representation, facility management and project and development services.

“While it’s been a challenging and exciting year – both from the standpoint of economic conditions and melding the cultures of JLL and Staubach on a local basis – we are clearly a stronger team now and excited about how we can better serve our clients in the region,” said Chris Rohrer, Executive Vice President, Jones Lang LaSalle, Minneapolis.

In 2009, Jones Lang LaSalle’s Minneapolis Tenant Representation business represented clients in more than 2.2 million square feet of transactions with a value of more than $57 million.  The group represented clients in Minneapolis including Iron Mountain, Microsoft, The Toro Company, and UnitedHealth Group.
