JLL Announces Capital Markets Leadership Changes

Jonathan Geanakos appointed President, Capital Markets, Americas; Steve Collins appointed Head of Capital Advisors

JLL (NYSE: JLL) today announced two leadership changes that will position Americas Capital Markets for future growth. Steve Collins, currently President, Capital Markets, Americas, will assume the newly created role of Head of Capital Advisors, Americas. Jonathan ("Jon") Geanakos has been appointed to succeed him.

Collins, with his deep history with global capital, has made significant contributions to the growth of JLL's Americas Capital Markets business. In his new role leading the Capital Advisors team, he will focus on expanding the firm's reach with global investors and driving business opportunities with a broader base of global and domestic client relationships.

"Steve has played a pivotal role helping us grow our Capital Markets platform here in the Americas," said Jay Koster, JLL's Group Head for Capital Markets, Americas & Investor Services, Americas. "His passion for pursuing business and building relationships will be instrumental as we seek to expand our reach as well as our businesses in Canada and Latin America."

Geanakos, who is based in New York, will be leading the growth of the firm's investment sales and finance functions in the Americas. He will also assume the leadership of the office product specialty, consistent with the recent appointments of Craig Meyer to lead the industrial product specialty, Naveen Jaggi to lead the retail product specialty and David Williams to lead the overall multifamily platform.

Added Koster, "Jon's drive, energy and experience complements our existing leadership team and his broad expertise across acquisitions, asset management, dispositions, finance and investment banking will be critical in helping shape our Capital Markets strategy and informing our interactions with clients."

Geanakos brings more than 30 years of institutional commercial real estate experience to the firm and comes to JLL from Cabot Street Capital Partners, where he was CEO and Co-Founder. Cabot Street focuses on value added and opportunistic investments on behalf of family offices and institutional investors. He established Cabot Street as a private real estate platform that evolved from his prior position with Monday Properties, where he served on that firm's leadership committee and led its new business and capital formation efforts. Previously, Geanakos was a Managing Director and Co-Head of Real Estate Investment Banking at Houlihan Lokey, a global investment banking firm where he expanded the firm's brand including client and transaction origination and management, recruitment, day-to-day management, and strategic business plan development and implementation. He has also held senior investment brokerage and investment management positions at some of the industry's most recognized firms.
