JLL Selling 139,077 SF Freezer/Cooler Building in Junction City, KS

Specialized facility--in move-in condition--ideal for food manufacturing, distribution users


KANSAS CITY, MO, Feb. 11, 2016 — SpartanNash, a leading wholesale grocery distributor, has named JLL as the exclusive sales agent for a 139,077-square foot food services facility at 2925 Industrial Drive in Junction City, KS. The multi-temperature building is highly customized and expandable, making it ideal for global food services companies with varying production, storage and distribution needs. The centralized location provides direct access to major Midwest transportation routes, linking the facility to businesses and suppliers across the country.

The building has 32,000 square feet of cooler space, 20,000 square feet of freezer space, 30’ clear height ceilings, and 30 loading docks. There also is 5,000-square-feet of office space, one grade-level door and parking for 102 cars. The building was constructed in 2006 and, due to consolidations in the supply chain, has become a surplus asset for the ownership.

With 160,030 people and 7,091 businesses within 45 minutes of the facility, the building is ideally situated for many of today’s food manufacturers. Junction City, KS is centrally located just 130 miles west of Kansas City, MO and within a day’s drive of regional and national distribution markets, including Denver on the west, Dallas on the south and Chicago on the northeast.

The building is also at the heart of an industrial crossroads, providing easy access to Interstate 70 and Route 77. The location is ideal for a multi-state food distributor that requires convenient access for transportation of food goods throughout the Midwest and the country.
