Jones Lang LaSalle Promotes Jay Koster to Lead Corporate Capital Markets

Industry pacesetter assumes key role in firm’s Capital Markets Group

NEW YORK, Feb. 9, 2009 – Jones Lang LaSalle today announces the firm has promoted Jay Koster to lead the Corporate Capital Markets business.  In this role as Managing Director, Mr. Koster will report to Kenneth Rudy, who recently assumed the role of President and Chief Operating Officer of the broader Capital Markets team.  His responsibilities will include strategic direction, new product and business development and client relationship management.

Mr. Koster was responsible for the integration of the Capital Markets groups of Jones Lang LaSalle and The Staubach Company following the 2008 merger, and previously was co-head of The Staubach Company's Capital Markets Group. Jay was responsible for the day to day operation of that firm's Corporate Capital Markets group, steadily increasing revenue and profitability during his tenure.   Jay was also actively involved in the leadership of the firm's investment sales and investment management businesses, as The Staubach Company expanded its Capital Markets platform over the last few years.  Mr. Koster also earned The Staubach Company's Most Valuable Player award for its Fiscal Year 2008, as the firm's top revenue generator.
Mr. Koster has nearly 20 years of commercial real estate experience, primarily focused on real estate capital markets transaction structuring and placement, and real estate investment management.  Since joining The Staubach Company in 1999, he has been actively involved in structuring over 15 million square feet of transactions valued in excess of $9 billion.  Most recently, Mr. Koster has taken a prominent role in the firm¡¦s Distressed Property Strategies workgroup, identifying opportunities to assist clients in local markets during the current crisis. Mr. Koster began his real estate career with Prudential's real estate investment group, and held various roles in investment management, development, property management and agency leasing.  Jay holds a bachelors degree in business administration from the University of Texas.
