JLL Bolsters Chicago and Midwest Industrial Research and Brokerage Platforms

Adds George Cutro to lead Midwest Research; Tamillo and Schraier to Chicago Brokerage

CHICAGO, OCTOBER 28, 2015 – In an ongoing effort to advance its research and brokerage services locally and across the Midwest, JLL has announced the appointment of George Cutro as Director of Midwest Industrial Research, and Robert Tamillo, CCIM, Senior Vice President, and Cory Schraier, Senior Associate.

“We are always pursuing ways to demonstrate our expertise and ultimately add more value to our clients, whether they are developers and owners or businesses that occupy space,” said Trevor Ragsdale, SIOR, Managing Director, JLL. “Adding the most respected industrial research professional in the Midwest and two industrial tenant representation professionals who do work both locally and nationally helps strengthen our platform and position in the market.”

Cutro is a recognized leader in the field of commercial real estate research with 25 years of deep industrial market knowledge. He joins JLL after nearly two decades in the Rosemont, Ill. office of Colliers International.

In his new role, Cutro is responsible for producing and developing the concepts and research for thought leadership that helps optimize JLL’s value to its clients. Cutro is also charged with meeting the demands of JLL’s fast-growing Industrial business and being a catalyst for elevating JLL’s market research throughout the Midwest region.

Together with Chad Buch and Paul Marsh at JLL’s Chicago O’Hare office, Cutro will help manage high-profile industrial projects and assignments and work to expand the JLL’s local market presence while supporting JLL’s brokers in driving new business.

“George is a critical part of our evolution into a client-focused research team,” said Christian Beaudoin, National Director of Research at JLL. “We are excited to leverage his strengths and deliver market-leading industrial analysis and insight for our brokerage teams and clients.”

Prior to his tenure at Colliers, Cutro was a Research Analyst at Cushman & Wakefield. As the “dean” of industrial research directors in Chicago and throughout the Midwest, Cutro and the firms whose research he has directed have been frequent contributors to industry groups such as the Association of Industrial Real Estate Brokers.

Having Cutro on staff is also helping JLL attract more talent in the market. Case in point, JLL has added two new brokers, Robert Tamillo, CCIM, Senior Vice President, and Cory Schraier, Senior Associate, to its Industrial Division.

As a senior vice president in JLL’s industrial brokerage division, Tamillo focuses on business development, provides strategic consulting, transaction management and portfolio management for industrial users and investors of corporate real estate on a local and national basis. These transaction responsibilities include site selection/location analytics, lease negotiations, acquisitions, dispositions and leasing, and build-to-suit development.

Throughout his career, Tamillo has focused on occupier representation throughout the Chicago metro area with a particular emphasis in Central DuPage County and I-55 along with national corporate services. He has considerable experience providing these services for various industries including building materials, manufacturing and distribution.  Going forward, he will also be a part of the JLL’s Supply Chain & Logistics Solutions group.

Before joining the JLL Industrial team, for approximately eight years, Tamillo was with DTZ. He began his real estate career as an Investment sales associate at Sheldon Good & Company where he was involved in multi-family and industrial property dispositions.
Tamillo is a graduate of Indiana University. He earned the designation Certified Commercial Investment Member from the CCIM Institute and is a member of various real estate and related industry associations including The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) and the Association of Industrial real Estate Brokers (AIRE).

Schraier joins JLL as a Senior Associate concentrating on representing tenants that are based in the O’Hare market and who may have multi-market requirements in addition to their local facility needs. He represents clients in the areas of site selection, lease negotiations, acquisitions and, when appropriate build-to-suit development projects.

Before joining the JLL Industrial team, Schraier was with DTZ. He previously worked at Bradford Allen Realty Services.

Schraier is a graduate of Indiana University. He is a member of various real estate and related industry associations including The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) and the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP).
