Jones Lang LaSalle Expands Multifamily Investment Sales Team with Key Houston Hires

Greg Austin and Chip Nash join capital markets practice as managing directors

HOUSTON, JAN. 19, 2010 — Jones Lang LaSalle announced today that it has hired two market leaders in the city of Houston as part of the firm’s continued efforts to expand its multifamily investment sales platform..  Greg Austin and Chip Nash have joined the firm as managing directors, doubling the firm’s multifamily practice to 35 individuals in just the last 18 months.  Austin and Nash will partner with Jones Lang LaSalle’s multifamily team in the Dallas office and report to managing director and leader of the firm’s national multifamily investment sales practice, Jubeen Vaghefi.
Austin and Nash will leverage their combined 60 years of apartment design, development, construction, transaction and management advisory to aggressively grow the firm’s multifamily capital markets presence throughout the Southwest and nationally. 
“The addition of Greg and Chip to our multifamily practice is yet another indication of our continued focus on hiring key players who strengthen our Capital Markets bench across a critical area in the marketplace as we enter 2010. Both gentlemen are market leaders in the city of Houston and they will be able to leverage the firm’s global platform to even greater rewards for our clients,” said Vaghefi.
Austin and Nash opened the Houston office of a national real estate advisory firm specializing in multifamily in 2000 and parlayed that into more than $1 billion in sales transactions.  Mr. Austin has more than 30 years of experience within the industry and is a graduate of the University of Texas where he earned his bachelor’s degree.  Mr. Nash also has nearly 30 years of experience in the industry and is a graduate of the University of Houston where he earned his bachelor’s of science degree.
