Industry Veteran John Ghiselli Joins Jones Lang LaSalle as Managing Director


LOS ANGELES, January 13, 2010 — Jones Lang LaSalle has hired 22-year industry veteran John Ghiselli as Managing Director to help increase the firm’s tenant representation and corporate services presence in the pivotal Westside market. Ghiselli teams with Jones Lang LaSalle Managing Directors Anthony Gatti, who joined the firm in June, and Mike McRoskey in spearheading the expansion of the firm’s West Los Angeles office leasing and tenant representation practice. The trio is based in the firm’s West Los Angeles Corporate office located at 2049 Century Park East in Century City.

Ghiselli comes to Jones Lang LaSalle with a wealth of experience in virtually all aspects of commercial real estate including leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, investments, development, debt and equity financing and asset management.  Previously, as Executive Vice President of Lincoln Property Company’s Southern California Region,
Ghiselli generated acquisition and development projects exceeding $325 million and oversaw a 3.75 million square-foot portfolio.  Additionally, as owner of Wilshire Property Company, he specialized in acquiring value-added commercial real estate investments in Southern California and Arizona.  At Julien J. Studley, Ghiselli closed office leasing transactions in the Los Angeles area in excess of 2.5 million square feet and valued over $1 billion.

Over the course of his distinguished 22-year career, Ghiselli has specialized in entertainment, media and technology firms working with several high profile clients including Deloitte & Touche, AT&T Wireless, Lucent, Wedbush, and BMG Entertainment.
 
Career transaction highlights from Ghiselli include the following: Deloitte & Touche Los Angeles office lease – 342,000 SF; Wedbush Morgan Securities Los Angeles office lease – 118,000 SF; BMG (Sony) Music Beverly Hills office lease – 108,000 SF; Black & Veatch corporate services account – 30 transactions totalling 300,000 SF.  Investment transaction highlights include: Acquired trophy office building 331 Maple Drive in Beverly Hills, secured lease buyout from DreamWorks and sold the asset within one year.  915 Wilshire Boulevard, downtown Los Angeles. Acquired 22-story office building in 2003; leased to stabilization and sold at the end of 2006 delivering a 50% percent IRR to the Institutional Investor.Ghiselli graduated from the University of Texas, Austin with a master’s of business administration and bachelor of arts degree.
