RREEF Taps Jones Lang LaSalle to Manage Retail Assets in the U.S.

Firm to take over property management of 5.7 million square feet

ATLANTA, December 9, 2009 – Jones Lang LaSalle was chosen recently by RREEF to take over direct property management of the majority of RREEF’s retail portfolio in the United States.  The firm was awarded 29 retail centers totaling approximately 5.7 million square feet of space including four lifestyle centers where Jones Lang LaSalle will also lead the leasing efforts.
“We are extremely proud that RREEF chose Jones Lang LaSalle to manage several of its retail properties across the country,” said Greg Maloney, CEO and President, Jones Lang LaSalle Retail.  “As the largest third-party manager of retail assets we look forward to bringing the power of Jones Lang LaSalle to this terrific portfolio.”
Jones Lang LaSalle will manage RREEF’s portfolio primarily located in the West, Northeast and Southeast.  Nationwide, Jones Lang LaSalle leases and/or manages more than 56 million square feet of retail space.  The firm has a considerable presence in Florida and will manage more than 600,000 square feet of space on behalf of RREEF including the well-known Sawgrass Village.  In California, where Jones Lang LaSalle also has a strong presence, RREEF has assigned the leasing and management of two of its assets – Manhattan Village and Villa Marina Marketplace – totaling nearly a million square feet.
“The fact that RREEF has asked Jones Lang LaSalle to lease some of its most important retail centers is testament to the strength of our leasing platform,” said John Bemis, Director of Leasing and Development, Jones Lang LaSalle Retail.
