Renaissance Tower Rebranded as CitySpace

Renovations to office property, located above the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Nashville, scheduled for completion in second quarter

NASHVILLE, Feb. 2, 2015 – The six-story, 100,000-square-foot office building that sits atop the 25-story Renaissance Hotel in downtown Nashville has been renamed CitySpace. Locally-based Elmington Capital Group purchased the office building, formerly known as Renaissance Tower, last year and is undertaking $2 million in renovations to the property’s lobby, elevators and bathrooms; the upgrades are slated for completion in second-quarter 2015.

Centric Architecture is providing architectural and design services for the renovations, and Steelhead Building Group is the general contractor. JLL’s Nashville office is the exclusive leasing agent for CitySpace; Executive Vice Presidents Tom Hooper and Bo Tyler and Associate Lauren Riegle are leading the JLL leasing team.

Elmington Capital Group decided to rebrand the property in part to increase awareness that there is office space above the Renaissance Hotel.

“For years, the market’s perception was that hotel rooms occupy the entirety of the building, when in fact the top six floors are fabulous office space” Hooper said. “The CitySpace rebranding aims to better describe the number of unmatched onsite amenities the property offers to office tenants.”

Amenities include floor to ceiling glass windows with expansive views of downtown Nashville, full service in-office catering services, large meeting rooms, an onsite full-service restaurant, a Starbucks Café, and the hotel’s concierge and valet. In addition, the building has access to some of the best parking for any downtown building, including the adjacent parking garage connected to the hotel by the sky bridge.

CitySpace’s newest tenant, Borman Entertainment, recently moved into its 4,500-square-foot office. The property’s tenants also include Nashville’s largest public relations firm, McNeely Pigott & Fox.

CitySpace currently has immediate availability for office suites ranging from 1,268 to 10,324 square feet. A full floor suite of 18,250 square feet will be available in September of 2015.
