Butler Square to be new location of Aimia Inc. U.S. headquarters

MINNEAPOLIS, Oct. 8, 2014 – Ownership of Butler Square announced today that Aimia Inc., a growing global leader in loyalty management, will be moving its U.S. headquarters to historic Butler Square, in downtown Minneapolis.

The 9-story historic building is LEED-certified and will house Aimia’s Twin Cities-based employees who will move from their current location in Plymouth, Minn., to occupy the entire seventh floor and a portion of the sixth floor of Butler Square.

A shared commitment to environmentally responsible business practices was at the core of bringing this deal together. Butler Square is the first, century-old, multi-tenant commercial building in the nation to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Aimia to Butler Square,” said Jane Mauer, owner of Butler Properties, LLC. “They share our passion for sustainability and their employees will bring even more creativity and energy to downtown Minneapolis.”

Jim Freytag of CBRE represented Aimia and Jon Dahl and Ann Rinde of Jones Lang LaSalle represented Butler Square. MSR Architecture and McGough have been retained for the interior design and renovation work, respectively, that will soon begin to prepare the space for the arrival of Aimia in early 2015.
