JLL Hires Lucy Carter as Senior Vice President in New York

Will oversee new business development for firm’s Project and Development Services group in New York tri-state area

NEW YORK, October 21, 2014 — JLL has hired Lucy Carter as a senior vice president in its Project and Development Services group in New York. Her responsibilities include new business development, strategic sourcing and resource alignment across the firm’s New York tri-state operations.

Carter has more than 20 years of experience in new business development, marketing and corporate communications within the real estate, architectural design and professional services industries.

“Lucy Carter’s deep experience will benefit both JLL and clients as we refine our long-term growth strategies,” said George Ladyman, international director and head of JLL’s Project and Development Services group in the Northeast. “She will be a crucial member of the PDS team, enhancing existing client relationships and identifying new sectors or growth areas for the business.”

JLL’s PDS division offers expertise in the areas of technical due diligence, building evaluations, tenant improvement fit-outs, budget/schedule impacts and/or capital budgeting, and manages relocation and build-out initiatives and development and renovation of commercial projects. In the New York tri-state region, JLL has completed projects for tenants of many industries in need of office, mission critical, education, healthcare, hotel, industrial, retail and other space, as well as owners and developers of nearly all kinds of properties in urban and suburban locations.

Prior to joining JLL, Carter was a senior associate and director of business development with architecture firm Ted Moudis Associates. She was responsible for business development, introducing new workplace strategies, and strategic marketing and expansion efforts.

In addition to 14 years in the real estate industry, Carter’s experience with firms such as Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP, Morgan Stanley and UBM LLC provided her with a unique insight into addressing her clients’ changing and complex business environments.

Carter earned a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of California at Berkeley. She has served on the board of directors and is an active member of the New York chapter of CoreNet Global and the Association of Real Estate Women. Carter is membership co-chair for NYCREW, CREW Network’s New York chapter, and also serves on the board of governors for the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation Real Estate Division. She is actively involved with JLL’s efforts to support the Tourette Syndrome Association as well as Special Olympics New York, and The St. Francis Food Pantries, which recognized her as its 2009 recipient of the Women of Valor Humanitarian Award.
