JLL named “Best of the Best” for Diversity Programming

DiversityComm names JLL on annual list of top companies for diversity

CHICAGO, Aug. 15, 2014 – DiversityComm today announced that for the second consecutive year, JLL earned top spots on two of its annual “Best of the Best” company lists: Top Diversity Employer and Top Supplier Diversity Program.

DiversityComm featured JLL on the “Best of the Best” lists for its national diversity strategy in both Black Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE) Journal and Hispanic Network Magazine. The full list features a mix of FORTUNE 1000 companies, government agencies and educational institutions, all of which are considered pioneers in the professional community by the innovative solutions they have to empower diverse workforces. In the last year alone, JLL has achieved measurable growth across its diversity platform:

  • 32% of JLL U.S. employees belong to one of its four Employee Resource Groups, which provide resources and programs to support members of the company’s African American, Hispanic, female and LGBT workforce
  • In 2013, half of JLL real estate transactions and deals over $500,000 were comprised of diverse teams
  • 70% of members on JLL’s Board of Directors are female or minority, outperforming other DiversityInc. Top 50 Companies

“Top performing companies know that we work better together because of our differences, not despite them,” said Mona Lisa Faris, president and publisher of the Black EOE Journal. “Diversity and inclusion means gaining the maximum benefit from our increasingly diverse workforces, motivating every employee to give the very best they have.”

The “Best of the Best” lists are compiled from market research, independent research, diversity conference participation and survey responses that were performed by DiversityComm’s agents and/or affiliates. The lists serve as valuable resources for jobseekers, business owners, students, consumers, senior management, business associations, employment agencies and consumer groups.
