JLL Announces Strategic Leadership Changes in Central Texas

Todd Wallace named Market Leader; John Childers to lead Office Tenant Representation group


AUSTIN, July 17, 2014 - As part of its ongoing effort to strategically expand the firm’s overall Texas platform, JLL today announced two key organizational changes in the leadership of its Central Texas (Austin and San Antonio) operations that will take effect in January 2015.  

Todd Wallace, who has led the firm’s Retail Brokerage practice since joining JLL, has been named Market Leader in the Austin and San Antonio markets.  In his new role, Wallace will be responsible for leading and expanding all JLL business lines in the markets.

John Childers, a Senior Vice President, has been promoted to lead the Office Tenant Representation group in the Austin and San Antonio markets.  In addition to his current tenant representation role, John will focus on developing and expanding the group’s relationships and business development efforts. 

Elysia Ragusa will continue to lead the market through 2014.  It’s after more than 25 years in numerous executive leadership roles with The Staubach Company and JLL, that Elysia has decided to transition her market leadership responsibilities, however she will remain active as a senior broker serving our clients and as a senior advisor to the team.

Wallace has nearly 18 years of experience in commercial real estate, where he specialized in retail brokerage.  Recognized by his peers as one Austin’s top brokers in the Austin Business Journal, Wallace received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin. 

As an industry leader with more than 17 years of experience, Childers has negotiated over 400 transactions in the Central Texas region and, as a result, has been recognized as a Heavy Hitter in the Austin Business Journal numerous times.  He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri – Columbia.
