JLL Hires Jason Schwartzenberg in New York

Joins firm as executive vice president; will provide tenant representation services throughout New York metropolitan area

NEW YORK, May 22, 2014 — JLL has hired Jason Schwartzenberg as an executive vice president in its New York office. He will be responsible for new business development and tenant representation services in the New York metropolitan area. Schwartzenberg will work primarily with Robert Martin, vice chairman, and his team of real estate professionals.

Schwartzenberg, 37, has 12 years of experience in New York metropolitan-area commercial real estate and has developed expertise in tenant representation for technology companies, finance and professional services firms.

“Jason Schwartzenberg is one of New York’s leading young real estate professionals,” said Philip Palmer, executive managing director and head of JLL’s brokerage operations in New York. “His enthusiasm and expertise will serve a key role in further expanding JLL’s growth in Manhattan.”

Prior to joining JLL, Schwartzenberg served as corporate managing director with Studley Inc., where he was responsible for new business development, tenant representation services and market research. His clients included First Investors, Herzfeld & Rubin, Thomas Publishing,, jibe, Weildinger Associates, and Wellington Shields.

Earlier, he was a business development manager with Torry Harris Business Solutions. Before that, he was involved in business development for five years for a number of early stage technology companies in San Francisco and New York.

In 2006, Schwartzenberg was honored with a CoStar Power Broker Award. He was featured as a Real Estate Weekly Rising Star in 2007 and as a Real Estate Weekly All-Star in 2008. Schwartzenberg completed transactions in 2009 and 2010 that were ranked among the top 50 leases in Manhattan by Crain’s New York Business.
Schwartzenberg earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Johnson and Wales University. He is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York and a licensed real estate broker in the state of New York.
