Jones Lang LaSalle Honored as Project Management Office (PMO) of the Year Award Finalist

JLL project manager Steve Moran recognized by leading association for consistent innovations that drive clients’ strategic initiatives 

CHICAGO, Nov. 22, 2013 — Steve Moran, Senior Vice President and Product Manager for Jones Lang LaSalle’s Project & Development Services group, was recently named a finalist for the Project Management Institute (PMI)’s “PMO of the Year” award at the 2013 Project Management Office (PMO) Symposium. The award honors PMOs that demonstrate excellence and innovation in effective project management, including implementing new ideas, methods or processes that led to measurable project management business results.  

“Steve’s recognition as a finalist for the PMO of the Year award is truly a testament to his dedication to innovation that supports both JLL and our clients’ strategic initiatives,” said Todd Burns, President of JLL’s Project & Development Services group. “Steve has established project technology platforms, sourcing programs and resources that not only help our clients achieve their business goals, but also advance the entire project management industry.”

Based in Detroit, Moran supports a team of more than 1,000 real estate project managers at JLL, including developing and maintaining standard operating procedures utilized by the firm’s Project & Development Services group globally. He is responsible for the firm's project technology platform, training programs, sourcing program, analytics and account transitions. In his role, Moran also launched JLL’s PMO Business Intelligence function, which leverages data analytics to provide clients with project cost-savings insights.

Moran is a licensed Project Management Professional (PMP) and member of the PMI Global Executive Council. He also has sustainability credentials, including a Green Belt with Design for Six Sigma, and is a LEED Accredited Professional.

With more than 700,000 members, PMI is the world’s largest non-profit membership association for the project management industry. PMI’s global project management advocacy initiatives include: developing standards and a certification program, extensive academic and market research, chapters and communities of practice, and professional development and recognition opportunities, including the PMO of the Year award.
