Brian Walsh joins firm as Senior Vice President, specializing in securing debt and equity financing for industrial properties

CHICAGO, Oct. 21, 2013 — Industrial properties continue to enjoy positive net absorption rates and an uptick in construction activity. Responding to the growth experienced by this sector, Jones Lang LaSalle’s Capital Markets today announced the firm has hired Brian Walsh as a Senior Vice President specializing in debt and equity financing for industrial properties. Walsh will work under the direction of Managing Director Dave Hendrickson, partnering with John Huguenard, International Director and leader of Industrial Capital Markets.  Walsh joins JLL from Pearlmark Real Estate Partners where he was the head of Debt Capital Markets.

“Brian has expertise in industrial assets as well as experience financing every other property type. He’s also skilled at loan restructurings, portfolio management and investment analysis,” said Hendrickson. “He approaches debt and equity financings in a creative, thoughtful manner that results in strong investments for clients.”

While in his role at Pearlmark, Walsh closed more than $1.5 billion in financing transactions and restructured and closed more than $470 million of individual loans on various property types. He began his career at Jones Lang LaSalle as a Tenant Representation Analyst, then a Capital Markets Associate.
