CHICAGO, IL

Jones Lang LaSalle and Williams & Williams to Host Live Commercial Real Estate Auction Dec. 2 – 6, 2013

Exclusive event launches series of live global auctions

CHICAGO Oct. 3, 2013 ─  As the first in a series of planned auction events, Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) and real estate auction and advisory firm Williams & Williams will jointly host a live, global commercial real estate auction event from Monday, December 2 to Friday, December 6, 2013. JLL will source properties for each event by leveraging its extensive global broker and client network, and Williams & Williams will conduct live-on-site auctions, in partnership with its sister company Auction Network®.

Williams & William’s live global auctions enable remote bidders to compete in real time with on-site bidders, expanding the buyer base for featured JLL properties, and competitively increasing the high bids. Williams & Williams is the only major auction company to conduct its live auctions simultaneously at the property and online led by a highly trained, professional auctioneer. Williams & Williams “Live From Location” on-site and online auctions combine the full transparency of live auction with the global reach and market making of the Internet.

“There is global network of investors who use live and online auctions as an expedient way to purchase attractive, well-performing commercial assets,” said Thomas Morande, Chief Operating Officer of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Capital Markets.  “Our alliance with Williams & Williams will facilitate that demand and fuel the prompt disposition of assets, generally under $20 million in value, through a transparent system that allows our brokers to maximize the value of each property we sell. We now offer a differentiated worldwide disposition service not available through any other national or international real estate services provider.”

Unlike “online-only bidding platforms,” which are low-tech dependent, this strategic auction relationship between JLL and Williams & Williams provides the highest level of advice and transaction execution driven through a personally managed offering, sophisticated marketing, heightened live and interactive bidding competition, and hands-on management.

“Our alliance with JLL creates new opportunity in the commercial real estate market and provides a platform for both firms to leverage our respective capabilities to provide a high-performing, time definite option for selling premier commercial real estate assets,” said Fontana Fitzwilson, Williams & Williams EVP, Sales.

“Integrating real estate advisory with leading auction strategy creates a singular differentiator in the global marketplace,” added Frank Diliberto, Williams & Williams’ Chicago-based executive managing director of advisory services and commercial real estate sales.

The companies’ December auction will feature a broad range of commercial real estate assets valued between $2 million and $20 million situated in a variety of geographical locations.

In advance of the first auction event, Williams & Williams will invite select commercial real estate investors and entities to register to be among a special group to receive the list of properties to be auctioned prior to the launch of the global marketing campaign.  This special group will be able to start due diligence early and will have the opportunity to submit offers prior to the auction marketing period.  Real estate investors interested in becoming part of this special group can find out more and register at www.williamsauction.com/jll-preview.
