Jones Lang LaSalle Expands Mexican Operations with New Office in Guadalajara

Sergio Hinojosa joins the firm to lead the Guadalajara operations

GUADALAJARA, JAL., MEXICO, March 12, 2012 — Jones Lang LaSalle announced today that it is continuing to expand its full service real estate operations in Mexico with the opening of a new client service office in Guadalajara. The office will be part of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Mexico operations and will serve the Western markets of the country.

“In the last few years Jones Lang LaSalle has been completed transactions in Mexico’s western markets, and our increasing client demand necessitated the need for the firm to establish a presence in the country’s second major city,” said Hector Klerian, International Director of Jones Lang LaSalle in Mexico. “We expect the new Guadalajara office to significantly increase our ability to expand our client service offerings to existing and prospective clients in the region. Guadalajara is the second most populated city in Mexico and ranks third in terms of GDP, making it very important for the firm to have a dedicated team of experts serving this region.”

To establish Jones Lang LaSalle’s new operation, the firm has recruited Sergio Hinojosa to lead the Guadalajara operation. Hinojosa brings more than 10 years of commercial and hospitality and tourism real estate experience to the firm. He has a proven track record of serving some of the largest real estate brokerage clients in the region. Hinojosa graduated with a degree in business from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara.

“Guadalajara is the Mexican Silicon Valley, and its client-service capacity is still under-developed. The corporate market is starting to grow and those companies need real estate experts who can deliver operation efficiencies to their business performance. Our experience will heighten the value we provide this expanding real estate market,” said Hinojosa. “I am looking forward to driving Jones Lang LaSalle’s Mexico growth strategy in Guadalajara, and expect to see further development in this vital market.”

“Jones Lang LaSalle’s expansion into Guadalajara is the next logical move for the firm as we are on a path to strengthening our existing leadership position throughout Latin America,” said Pedro Azcue, CEO of Jones Lang LaSalle Mexico. “This is the second major office we’re opened in the past two years, following Tijuana, as our Mexican expansion continues to evolve quickly.”

Jones Lang LaSalle has operated in Mexico for the past 28 years. With its Mexico headquarters in Mexico City, the firm also operates out of Monterrey and Tijuana. The firm’s service offerings in Mexico include, among others: Tenant and Landlord Representation, Consulting, Energy and Sustainability, Investment Sales and Acquisitions, Retail, Hotels, Valuation Advisory, Project and Facility Management, Resort Development. In 2011, the firm completed more than $65 million in transactions in Mexico.
