Jones Lang LaSalle Adds Leader to West Coast Brokerage Team

Gary Danklefsen joins as Managing Director in Seattle

SEATTLE, September 10, 2009 — Jones Lang LaSalle announced today it has bolstered its West Coast brokerage team with the addition of Gary Danklefsen as leader of the Seattle office.  Danklefsen, with more than a quarter of a century of experience, is considered one of the top corporate real estate brokers in the Northwest.

Danklefsen will leverage his deep relationships and experience within industrial real estate for clients in the Northwest and across the country, as well as help to grow the firm’s overall platform in this burgeoning market.

“Gary is a force to be reckoned with within this industry.  His wealth of experience will bring additional leadership to all aspects of this market, while his expertise with logistics will do much to differentiate Jones Lang LaSalle from the competition,” said Elizabeth Hearle, Jones Lang LaSalle’s Northwest Market Director.

Jones Lang LaSalle Managing Director Bob Mooney added, “Bringing a talent of Gary’s caliber on board here in Seattle will allow me to focus more of my time and attention on client service.  I am certain Gary will be a great cultural fit for our team, and am especially excited about his ability to recruit great talent as this market holds such promise to grow our entire platform.”

During his career, Danklefsen has steered some of the largest real estate transactions in the country, including a $260 million portfolio sale in California and major acquisitions in Washington, Texas and Florida.  In his last position at a national REIT, he opened the Seattle office and made it profitable within 18 months.  He also used his time there to build the first Gold LEED-certified big box in the state of Washington, which includes 780,000 square feet.  Phase 1 of the project, 459,000 square feet, was completed in April is currently 70 percent lease.  The 321,000 square feet of Phase II is currently being marketed for build-to-suit opportunities.

Danklefsen was also the founding Board Member of the Washington State Commercial Broker Association and served as its President.  He has been awarded Broker of the Year twice in Washington, as well as SIOR Broker of the Year.  He is a graduate of Seattle University where he earned his bachelor of arts Cum Laude in Finance.
