Jones Lang LaSalle deepens Healthcare Solutions bench with Wyatt Roderick

New Vice President Joins Jones Lang LaSalle at Beaumont Hospitals for First Assignment

DETROIT, MI, July 20, 2011 – Jones Lang LaSalle today announced the appointment of Wyatt R. Roderick as a new Vice President in the firm’s healthcare solutions group. While Roderick will support the firm’s national growth initiatives, his first assignment as a key contributor to the firm’s facilities and program management leadership is to consult on the Jones Lang LaSalle at Beaumont Hospital assignment in Detroit, Michigan.

Jones Lang LaSalle’s healthcare solutions group Chief Operating Officer Peter Bulgarelli said, “We’re pleased to deepen our facilities and program management bench with a leader like Wyatt Roderick who will contribute to our growth both locally and nationally. Wyatt’s account management and transition experience, creativity and dedication will contribute significantly to our collective results.”

Roderick previously served as the Director of Facilities for Group Health Cooperative in Seattle, Washington.  He managed the delivery of all facilities-related services for 56 inpatient and outpatient medical centers and hospitals totaling 3.5 million square feet of space throughout Washington State and Northern Idaho.  Prior to that position, Roderick was the Senior Facilities Manager for Group Health’s South Puget Sound region, where he managed a portfolio of 700,000 square feet of medical centers and acute care facilities with an annual operating budget of $14 million. He joined the Group Health team in 2004 as the Environmental Services Manager.

Mr. Roderick began his career in the military, as an Army officer, where he served as an Army Infantry Platoon Leader and later as a Signal Company Commander.  He served in several theaters of operation and is a combat veteran.
In early 2011, Jones Lang LaSalle formed an integrated services partnership with Beaumont Hospitals to create a new standard in health care real estate, facilities and equipment services delivery. The partnership is designed to deliver cost savings and operational improvements that enhance quality, service and efficiency.

Through the partnership, Jones Lang LaSalle at Beaumont Hospitals provides real estate, project management, and plant operations for Beaumont’s entire 8.5-million-square-foot portfolio including three hospital campuses, 5.1 million square feet of acute care hospital space, 1,744 licensed acute care patient beds and 101 owned or leased off-campus patient care or business sites located in metro Detroit.  Roderick will be working closely with Ted Spicer in this service delivery program.

“In the first six months of our partnership with Beaumont Hospitals, Jones Lang LaSalle at Beaumont Hospitals has made considerable headway in achieving our cost reduction goals,” said Ted Spicer, Director of Jones Lang LaSalle at Beaumont Hospital. “We’ve identified a number of processes and systems needing improvement and already are seeing the fruits of those labors.”

Roderick holds a Bachelor’s degree in English and an MBA from the University of Washington.  He is a Lean Sigma Greenbelt and a licensed Washington state real estate broker.

Jones Lang LaSalle’s healthcare solutions group works with hospitals and health systems throughout the nation delivering program management, strategic consulting, financial strategy, transaction and sustainability advisory services and facilities and property management.  Through its work, the healthcare group reduces costs, drives efficiencies and enhances quality through the unrealized potential of real estate assets and infrastructure.
