Jones Lang LaSalle Hires Michael Siteman to Bolster Mission Critical Solutions Group

LOS ANGELES, March 9, 2010 — Jones Lang LaSalle has hired 25-year industry veteran Michael Siteman as Executive Vice President of the firm’s Mission Critical Solutions (MCS) group. Siteman, based in the firm’s West Los Angeles corporate office, will continue to build Jones Lang LaSalle's MCS group throughout the greater Los Angeles region. The MCS group provides the full range of data center and collocation services to the firm’s clients including site selection, site due diligence, project financing, development, project management, public incentives negotiations and ongoing critical facilities management.

“Michael has an extensive background focused on meeting each client’s unique critical environment needs, and therefore he was a natural choice to build our growing mission critical practice,” said Whitley Collins, Jones Lang LaSalle's Senior Managing Director of Brokerage for the Los Angeles Region.

With nearly a quarter century of experience in the industry, Siteman has developed a deep understanding of commercial real estate leases, and has fine-tuned his negotiating skills during his tenure as a tenant representative with Bailes & Associates, Inc., Quadrant5 and The Staubach Company.  Siteman has delivered client savings of approximately 35 percent considering all occupancy factors for a wide range of companies including non-profit, entertainment, financial services and mission critical facilities.  Corporate relationships during that period include Abbott Laboratories, Digital Insight Corporation, Digital Island, Great American Insurance Company, Lincoln National Life Insurance, Novell, Paramount Pictures, Sempra Energy, Texas Instruments, and Verizon.

Building on his background in telecommunications and data center transactions, Siteman served as Senior Vice President, Business Development and Marketing for Base Partners, Inc., a developer of mission critical facilities with data center projects throughout the U.S.  Most recently, Siteman was Chief Executive Officer of Leverage Lease, Inc., a commercial real estate developer that offers tenants a 25 percent profit share in leased real estate.

Siteman graduated from California State University at Northridge with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and English. He is a licensed helicopter pilot, certified Neuro-linguistic programmer and an accomplished musician.
