Anthony Marten Named Head of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Mobile Engineering Services Group

Chicago, July 20, 2009 — Jones Lang LaSalle’s Anthony Marten has been appointed head of the firm’s Mobile Engineering Services group (MES) which provides highly-skilled, mobile maintenance personnel to clients across the nation.  Based in the firm’s headquarters in Chicago, he will be responsible for expanding the group’s coverage across numerous industry sectors while maintaining the most efficient services for current clients.

Marten joined the firm 13 years ago and has worked regionally across Europe, Middle East and Africa, as well as other locations across the U.S.  Most recently, he was working with the Solutions Development group, where he focused on outsourced solutions for corporate clients.

“The Jones Lang LaSalle MES group is a unique and comprehensive service to meet our clients’ facility repair and maintenance needs,” Marten said.  “Through developing a timely, efficient and economical solution for geographically dispersed sites, we feel there is great scope to expand the service into new property sectors and industries.”

Marten added, “The retail industry is a sector that could benefit from Mobile Engineering Services.  By applying the MES model, retailers will be able to collapse their maintenance and repair supply chains to a degree that was not historically possible while leveraging the benefits of self-provision and a single supplier solution.  Retailers should expect savings from 10 – 25%, while improving service quality, response times and accountability.”

The MES group consists of more than 280 dedicated staff servicing over 9,500 client sites in 42 states, and is represented in every major U.S. metropolitan area.  The engineers provide all aspects of building maintenance including HVAC maintenance and repair, plumbing, lighting, electrical and general maintenance services, covering numerous property types including retail, distribution centers, warehousing and small office buildings.

“The MES group provides clients with a highly-skilled and focused maintenance service with benefits that extend beyond hard savings and administrative ease,” said Bill Thummel, COO, Americas, Jones Lang LaSalle. “With Anthony’s leadership and guidance, we can expand this service to clients in numerous sectors.”
