Samit Chopra Named Managing Director of Jones Lang LaSalle’s International Desk

Expansion of International Desk team bolsters firm’s integrated global services

PALO ALTO, CA, September 2, 2009 — Jones Lang LaSalle, the leading financial and professional services firm specializing in real estate, has appointed Samit Chopra as a Managing Director with the firm’s International Desk. The International Desk connects clients with transaction specialists across the globe, continuing the firm’s tradition as a world leader in delivering globally integrated real estate services.
Based in Palo Alto, California, Chopra is responsible for expanding the firm’s international business across the firm’s three regions—Americas; Europe, Middle East, Africa; and Asia Pacific. Chopra joins an established team of distinguished international real estate specialists who are committed to thinking and acting globally.

Chopra, an Indian national, has more than 13 years of experience in providing strategic real estate advice to multinational corporations in India and the United States. Most recently, he led corporate client development and account management functions for Jones Lang LaSalle in India. Prior to that, Chopra managed the transaction business for Jones Lang LaSalle’s Western Region (Mumbai and Pune) in India.
Prior to returning to India in 2006, Chopra worked as a Vice President at Jones Lang LaSalle’s New York office. While in New York, Chopra was primarily involved in devising and implementing occupancy strategies for the firm’s corporate occupier clients.
Chopra is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) candidate, who received his MBA from the Institute of Management Technology in India, and his Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) from Delhi University.
