Positive Energy Signs Sublease at 1515 North Courthouse Road

Energy Solutions Software Company Poised for Growth

Washington, DC, August 26, 2009 - Jones Lang LaSalle announced today that Positive Energy has leased 10,500 square feet of sublease space at Courthouse Tower.  They are leasing the space from Sapient Corporation.  Matt Coursen of Jones Lang LaSalle represented Positive Energy and Junius Tillery and Steve Ross of Equis represented Sapient.
“The demand for products that deliver cost-effective, large-scale energy efficiency improvements is at a historic high, and we are seeing that through the rapidly increasing sales of our Home Energy Reporting solution, which is one of the industry’s leading residential energy efficiency programs,” noted Daniel Yates, CEO and Founder of Positive Energy.  “The new space will allow us to remain on our current high-growth trajectory and is well located for our employees who use mass transit and for those who bike or walk to work.  Jones Lang LaSalle has partnered with us to help align our current business needs with our real estate strategy and helped us find the right space for our business.”
Courthouse Tower is a commanding, 12-story Class A office building offering 246,929 square feet of space, just minutes from downtown Washington, DC.  The Courthouse Metrorail station is just outside the building's front door and there is easy access to major roads, Reagan National and Dulles International Airports, the Pentagon and nearby residential areas.  Amenities include on-site property management, a full time concierge, 1st floor fitness center and locker rooms, and the national retailers, Office Depot and Camille's Sidewalk Cafe' located on the ground floor.
“Positive Energy, like so many of our clients, needed a creative plan and cost-effective solution for its headquarters.  In today’s economy, stretching dollars and conserving resources is vital to the success of every business, whether it be in energy or office space consumption,” noted Matt Coursen. “Positive Energy capitalized on a softening submarket in Northern Virginia by securing sublease space in a great building at a discount.”
