Jones Lang LaSalle Selected by Mack-Cali to Lease One Newark Center in Newark, NJ

Firm to provide exclusive agency leasing, marketing services for Class A, 416,000-SF commercial office building

PARSIPPANY, NJ, May 9, 2013 — Jones Lang LaSalle was selected by Mack-Cali Realty Corporation as exclusive leasing agent for One Newark Center, 1085 Raymond Blvd. in Newark, N.J. The firm will provide a full range of agency leasing and marketing services for the Class A, 416,000-square-foot office building.

The JLL team overseeing the assignment is led by Jonathan Meisel, managing director, supported by Aaron Ellison, senior vice president, and Chris Conklin, vice president. The team will work closely with Diane Chayes, senior vice president of leasing of Mack-Cali.

“One Newark Center is truly one of the premier office buildings in the Newark market,” said Meisel. “The property has been more than 90 percent occupied since construction was completed in 1992. It offers the largest ratio of on-site parking of any other building in the city and provides easy access to and from the building during rush hour. We are also delighted to have been given the opportunity to work with New Jersey’s preeminent office landlord, Mack-Cali Realty Corporation.”

One Newark Center, located on Raymond Boulevard between McCarter Highway and Mulberry Street, was designed by Grad Associates and constructed in 1992. The 22-story office building offers easily divisible floor plates of 26,000 square feet, and can make available up to 75,000 square feet.

The office building offers an outstanding amenity package that includes a full-service café featuring an outdoor patio, and an on-site parking garage for 950 cars. One Newark Center is also home to The Metropolitan Room at The Newark Club, an upscale private dining club, which is located on the 22nd floor of the building and available for corporate use. The club also offers meeting rooms for exclusive use by One Newark Center tenants. The office building is close to Newark’s central business district, providing tenants with a wealth of retail and restaurant options, and cultural attractions such as NJPAC, the Prudential Center, and the Newark Museum.

One Newark Center is located just one block from Newark Penn Station, providing NJ TRANSIT, PATH, and Amtrak service to New York and points along the Northeast Corridor, as well as Newark subway service. The office building offers easy access to the New Jersey Turnpike; the Garden State Parkway; Routes 1, 9 and 22; I-78; and I-280.
