Jones Lang LaSalle Expands Midwest Capital Markets Expertise in Retail

Retail expert, Rebecca Wells, joins as Executive Vice President

INDIANAPOLIS, April 23, 2013 — As part of Jones Lang LaSalle’s ongoing effort to strategically grow its Capital Markets services in the Midwest, the firm today announced industry veteran Rebecca Wells has joined as an Executive Vice President in the Indianapolis office. During her more than 20-year commercial real estate career, Rebecca has successful executed acquisitions and dispositions, restructured loans and secured financing, and negotiated equity partnerships on behalf of global and domestic clients. In her new role, she will work closely with Midwest Capital Markets leader and International Director, John Huguenard, to expand the firm’s platform of services, focusing on retail dispositions in the Midwest.

“We’ve witnessed a significant increase in client demand for real estate services in the Midwest, and we are committed to assembling the strongest Capital Markets practice to better serve their needs,” said Huguenard. “We expect retail and office dispositions in the market to be the highest since the downturn, and Rebecca’s best-in-class expertise combined with our existing capabilities in these sectors will propel our platform and give our clients access to the best local market knowledge and global reach.”

“Indianapolis is truly is the ‘Crossroads of America.’ With six major interstates converging in its corridor, it is one of the most accessible markets in the United States. Additionally, it ranks as the 12th largest city in the U.S. and first in the nation for attracting new jobs through foreign direct investment,” said Dan Ryan, Central Region Market Director for Jones Lang LaSalle. “As the market continues to recover and prosper, we want to ensure that we have strong capabilities to serve our clients throughout the region.”

Rebecca joins Jones Lang LaSalle from national commercial real estate firm Cassidy Turley, where she served as Senior Vice President-Institutional Sales Group. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Finance-Real Estate from Indiana University, and Rebecca is a past president of the Indiana CCIM chapter and is active in ICSC.
