Jones Lang LaSalle Hires Industry Veteran with Global Experience to Assist Midwest Corporations

Strategic advisor joins Detroit office to assist clients with multi-location strategies

DETROIT, March 12, 2013 — Jones Lang LaSalle announced that Charles C. King has joined the Detroit office as Vice President where he will focus on comprehensive, integrated and scalable services that deliver immediate cost savings for multi-location companies throughout the Midwest. King brings more than 25 years of industry experience to the firm, most recently with CKX Realty Advisors, where he delivered strategic corporate real estate services through global, multimarket projects.

“We’re looking to leverage Chuck’s [Charles’] 25 plus years of experience to help us work with and attract clients who have multiple locations in the United States, and locally, with multiple service needs,” said Dave MacDonald, Executive Vice President of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Detroit office.

In addition to strategic commercial real estate consultation, King is well connected to the Michigan real estate market following 27 years of work within the state. He has an extensive background in the commercial real estate field selecting sites, conducting contract negotiations and providing support throughout transactions.

King’s focus has long been on the transactional side, mostly in the industrial and office sector. He has experience managing the various stages of project completion, while concurrently fostering client relationships. He also gained international experience with CKX Reality Advisors while visiting sites in Asia, Latin and South America and Europe.

King has previously been employed on the corporate side of the industry, as well as the service side. He feels that this experience allows him to empathize with and better understand customer needs.

“JLL’s platform will enable me to better support the demanding and evolving needs of corporate occupiers,” King said.

He is an active member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) and CoreNet Global, maintaining the Masters of Corporate Real Estate (MCR) designation.

King holds a Masters degree from Michigan State University, as well as a Bachelor degree from Earlham College, and an Associate degree from Grand Rapids Junior College.
