Deborah Stearns Joins Jones Lang LaSalle as Senior Vice President

Industry veteran brings more than 30 years of experience to firm’s Hampton Roads office


HAMPTON ROADS, VA, March 12, 2013 – Jones Lang LaSalle (NYSE:JLL) announced today that Deborah Stearns has joined the firm as a Senior Vice President to grow and lead the Hampton Roads office. With more than 30 years in the commercial real estate industry, Stearns brings vast experience, as well as strategic leadership and expertise.

Most recently, Stearns was a Senior Vice President at Harvey Lindsay Commercial Real Estate. Prior to that, she worked in various high-level positions in the industry, including as Managing Director at Advantis Real Estate Services Company, President of Goodman Segar Hogan Hoffler and Vice President of Rowe Development Company.

Stearns received a bachelor of science in business administration from Old Dominion University and studied developing managerial excellence at the University of Virginia. She is active in the community and currently serves as AAA Tidewater’s advisory board chair, as well as chair of Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce.  Stearns has been recognized for her contributions to the community by several organizations, including receiving the Distinguished Alumni Award from Old Dominion University and being named the Commercial Person of the Year in 2006 from the Commercial Real Estate Council of Hampton Roads.  In 2009, she received Volunteer Hampton Roads’ Lifetime Achievement Award, and in 2011, was named Tidewater Council of the Boy Scouts of America’s “Scouter Citizen of the Year”.
