Nuance Leases 27,500 SF at 675 Mass. Ave. in Central Plaza Cambridge


BOSTON, March 14, 2013 — Jones Lang LaSalle (NYSE: JLL) announces the long-term lease of 27,500 square feet of first class office space to Nuance Communications, Inc. at 675 Massachusetts Avenue in Cambridge, MA. Nuance will occupy two full floors in the 14-story first class office building owned by Intercontinental Real Estate Corporation.

Intercontinental was represented by Jones Lang LaSalle Executive Vice Presidents John Osten and Peter Bekarian, and Vice President Daniel Kollar. Nuance was represented by Newmark Grubb Knight Frank Senior Managing Director Ryan Weber.

Nuance Vice President, Global Real Estate & Facilities Ed Zielinski said: “We are delighted with the location and amenities at 675 Mass. Ave., and will be making world class improvements to the facility. This prime Central Square location between Harvard and Kendall Square offers proximity to top technical talent coming out of the university community.

Occupancy is scheduled for the fall 2013 following interior construction. Nuance is moving from its current Cambridge location at 17 Dunster Street. The company’s worldwide headquarters is located in Burlington, MA.

675 Massachusetts Avenue is a 127,615-square-foot first class office building that adjoins 130 Bishop Allen Drive to form 200,000-square-foot Central Plaza. It features a modern design, high end finishes, walkway, and panoramic views of the Charles River, Harvard University, MIT and the Boston skyline. A significant capital improvements program including lobby renovations is now underway. Other tenants in 675 Mass. Ave. include Harmonix Music Systems, ETEX and Workbar.
